On the 21st of December in Central state museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan the awarding ceremony of the art contest “70 years for every child” was held. The event was dedicated to the 25-year anniversary of the Independence of Kazakhstan and 70-year anniversary of the UNICEF.The project, initiated by the UN Children Fund (UNICEF) and Kazakhstan National Federation of UNESCO Clubs, was aimed at promoting main ideals and principles of UNICEF about protecting children’s rights and encouraging development of youth creativity through diversity of cultural self-expression.
By focusing on discovering and stimulation of talented children, organizers of the project set a goal to deliver the message about the importance of building peaceful society, based on the values of kindness and tolerance, to every young citizen.
Over 500 young artists and authors of the videos took part in the contest, jury determined the following winners:
Nomination 1: “The rights of the child” – ZhapanovAibolat, 13 y.o., Atyrau;
Nomination 2: “Child friendly Kazakhstan” – Esbolganova Karlygash, 15 y.o., Taraz;
Nomination 3: “UNICEF for peace for children” – Manchenko Valentina, 16 y.o., Aktobe;
Nomination 4: “The best video” – Gabrilyan Diana, 14 y.o., Shymkent.
Representatives of the public authorities, international organizations and artistic intellectuals of Kazakhstan attended the ceremony to congratulate the winners and handed them their deserved diplomas and valuable presents.
During the event the exhibition was officially opened and the album “Children of Kazakhstan – Children of the world”, which contains the best works of the finalists, was presented to the public. Furthermore, it became a tradition for the Central state museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan to host expositions of children’s art along with the exhibitions of professional artists.
