Bulak (Kyrgyz spring) - National Information Network of Kyrgyzstan

The importance of regional journalists’ access to the resources of the Global Web, electronic connection with the colleagues worldwide for a quick exchange with the up-to-date information is really hard to overestimate.

BULAK [kyrgyz spring] is National Information Network of Kyrgyzstan devoted to assist journalists of regional and central mass media in reaching a good level of understanding and cooperation. BULAK Network has a common web-site of the same name.
Creating Bulak project belongs to the Central Asian Media Resource Centre (CAMRC). UNESCO Asia-Pacific Regional Bureau for Communication and Information supported and financed the realization of this idea in consultation assistance of UNESCO Cluster Office Almaty
A presentation of the project and a seminar “The use of Information-Communication Technologies in producing news” took place on December 23-24, 2002. As a result Osh, Naryn and Issyk-Kul oblasts and Bishkek received 2 Internet accessible computers each.
Jalal-Abad, Talas and Batken oblasts are not covered and we don’t have first-hand news about the life in these extremely interesting regions of Kyrgyzstan.
