Call for applications for rehabilitation and valorization works in Kyrgyzstan

UNESCO is seeking a contractor to conduct the Phase III of the conservation and valorization works on the Second Buddhist Temple at the WH component site of Krasnaya Rechka (city of Nevaket) WH property in Kyrgyzstan.

The project is carried out within the framework of the implementation of extra-budgetary EU/UNESCO Project: Silk Road Heritage Corridors in Afghanistan, Central Asia, and Iran International Dimension of the European Year of Cultural Heritage.

Works will progress in 3 stages:
Stage 1: Assessment of results of the Phase II of conservation and valorization works (beginning of May 2021);
Stage 2: Development and approval of the project for rehabilitation and valorization works, based on the assessment of Phase II of the conservation works and the current condition of the Temple (20-31 May 2021);
Stage 3: Conducting conservation and valorization works as per the approved plan (June August 2021).
