ICT competency standards for teachers: policy framework

31 July 2009

The second booklet of UNESCO series “ICT Competency Standards for Teachers” has been translated into Russian and published by the Russian IFAP Committee and its working body, the Interregional Library Cooperation Centre, with support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation. The booklet makes recommendations for curricula in training teachers in the sphere of information and communication technologies.

The booklet offers the results of analyses of all education reform components and a template of competency standards modules for varying concepts of the principles and parts of the education reform.

The booklets can be used as guides for decision-makers in education and teacher training—in particular, in drawing curricula.
