New addition to the collection of the Museum of Folk Instruments named after Yqlas

UNESCO's calendar of significant dates for 2018-2019 includes the 200th anniversary of the birth of the Kazakh composer, player of the national instrument dombra, kuyshi Kurmangazy Sagyrbayuly.

Two days ago, the collection of the museum of folk instruments named after Yqlas in Almaty was enriched with copies of the dombra that used to belong to the great Kurmangazy and that of his folower Ergali Yeszhanov.

The museum currently displays an exhibition celebrating "The performance of Kurmangazy kuys ", which will stay open till the end of this week.
