Opening of the first regional branch of Kazakhstan National Federation of UNESCO Clubs

Regional Branch of Kazakhstan National Federation of UNESCO Clubs (KazFUCA) was opened in Karaganda oblast on November 25th, 2016. Event was organized with the support of the Karaganda oblast Akimat.

Representatives of UNESCO Almaty Cluster Office for Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, administration of the city and oblast, head of Kazakhstan National Federation of UNESCO Clubs, UNESCO Clubs from Karaganda and other regions took part in the eremony.

In the framework of the program were presented the exposition about this region UNESCO Clubs activities, which are functioning at the bases of: Art school #2, Specialized boarding school Murager, Children art school of Botakara village in Bukhar zhyrau district, Children art school of Satpaev, Art school of Balkhash, Children art school named after A.Ismailov in Shakhtinsk and Children art school of Dubovka village in Bukhar zhyrau village.


In addition, guests of the ceremony visited UNESCO Club Art school #2 of Karaganda city, where KazFUCA President opened the regional branch. Mr. Akchulakov noted in his speech that all positive achievements in Federation work require optimization of its activities in the sense of improvement of the effectiveness of the regional level projects, strengthening cooperation among UNESCO Clubs, local implementation of state and international programme documents.

All visitors also witnessed the concert of young members and masters of art from UNESCO Clubs. Participants of the event had chance to be acquainted with the activity and education process of the school in person.

For reference: UNESCO clubs movement was founded in 1947 in Japan with the aim to promote core ideals and principles of peace, tolerance and humanity among civil society. Nowadays, UNESCO clubs, being officially recognized by the Organization, are presented in more than 100 countries of the world and united into national and regional Federations.

Kazakhstan National Federation of UNESCO Clubs, founded in 2009, consists of 50 clubs with more than 3500. Organizing on a permanent basis series of major festivals, contests and master-classes on national, regional and international level, KazFUCA conducts largescale work on supporting and developing talented young generation of our country. Annually, in the projects of the Federation on intercultural, creative and moral education take part more than 10 000 children from different parts of Kazakhstan, where they receive the best practices in the sphere of the main competencies of the Organization.
