A week-long practical training on the traditional manufacture of felt products for rural women on the basis of the crafts center «AigulLine» in Almaty, Kazakhstan was held during a week from 24 to 28 April, 2017
Participants for training were selected not by chance - all those women participants of the previous practical trainings for artisans, that were organized by the UNESCO Cluster Office in Almaty in the framework of the two Joint Programmes developed for the Kyzylorda and Mangystau oblasts by the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Ministry of Regional Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, local regional Akimats and UN organizations.
This training was organized by the UNESCO Cluster Office in Almaty for Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, with the support of UNDP in Kazakhstan.
The senior advisers of the “Aigul Line” LLP - Bahyt Kurmanbaeva and Roza Zhetpisbaeva facilitated the training.
