UNESCO Almaty is organizing two-day Media and Information Literacy (MIL) workshop for Journalists in Dushanbe, Tajikistan.20 participants from journalism faculties and journalism training centers of the Republic of Tajikistan will improve their understanding and skills of MIL based on the UNESCO publication “Media and Information Literacy in Journalism”. The localized publication was developed by Tashkent Office with financial support of the UK government.
The workshop is aimed at improving the competences of teachers and trainers of journalism faculties and training institutions taking into consideration the specificities of the Central Asian states. The workshop contributes to the Sustainable Development Goal SDG4.7 and SGD16.10 and devoted to the International Day for Universal Access to Information, as well as to Global Media and Information Literacy Week 2019.
